Attracting Beneficial Insects with Native Flowering Plants
As a part of the conversation, more great resources and ideas were discussed including planting natives for the purpose of attracting beneficial natural enemies (predators and parasitoids). One of such resources is a bulletin published in 2015 on the topic that includes a handy ‘Native Flowering Plants that Attract Beneficial Insects’ guide which you can also find below.
As with this guide an any material, always cross-check the species for our area to make sure that it is native for Wayne County!
Finding Native Plants
There are many resources out there that provide information on what plants are native in our area. Some of the ones that were noted as favorites by Wild Ones members are
