Speaker: Stefanie Steele, Pollinator Conservation Specialist, Xerces Society

Summary: Join Stefanie Steele, Xerces Society pollinator conservation specialist for urban and small farms in the Greater Detroit, MI region, for a presentation on native bee awareness. Urban landscapes are diverse and can provide unique habitat opportunities for a diversity of pollinators and other beneficial invertebrates. Come learn about the diversity of native bees in our area, their habitat and nesting requirements, and some of the most important native plants to support them.

This will be a hydrid online AND in-person event. Due to limited seating, registration will be required for in-person attendees. Wild Ones Wayne County members only need to register to reserve a seat for in-person attendance; WOWC members will automatically be emailed a Zoom link. Guests and Wild Ones members from other chapters must register to reserve a seat for in-person attendance or to receive a Zoom link for virtual attendance.
